Nothing wrong with this. The Eagles are going to try to do the same thing to Jayden Daniels once he leaves the pocket. The only problem is Jalen Hurts isn’t treated like the rest of the QBs in the NFL. There is no one who is protected less than Hurts. Constant shots go uncalled after he’s already sliding, late hits out of bounds when his foot is already on the white that don’t draw a flag. It’s ridiculous. If the Commies DC was saying this about Patrick Mahomes he’d be fined before he got done the interview.

And you know what? I believe him, yo! Because Frankie Luvu did it already:

That was a legal hit. Bang bang play and it forced Hurts out of the game and the Eagles lost. Jalen’s gonna have to be smart when he runs with his head and also his knee on Sunday. The good thing is the Rams probably had the same game plan the Commies do and look how that turned out:

Maybe Joe Whitt Jr. should focus on his last place rushing defense and less about ringing Hurts’ bell. The guy is lucky Ben Johnson called a game like he was drunk and Jared Goff played like he was on meth. Detroit had five turnovers and they still scored 31 points. This defense is atrocious.

I don’t know how long these two have been together – honestly I’m still pissed him and J-Law or Gaga never got together – but this is a big step for the couple. Do you remember the first time you took the girl you were dating to an Eagles game or the first time you both watched one together? It’s absolute madness. For the entire summer you tricked her into thinking you were a normal guy. But when the Fall rolls around that’s a different beast. The Eagles have Super Bowl aspirations and Nick Sirianni’s ass is firmly planted on the hot seat. You pored over the schedule, by yourself of course, the minute it came out and decided if they don’t start at least 4-2 you’re going to call in a bomb threat to NovaCare. And then the season finally rolls around, you’re getting more serious, and she asks you what you’re doing for the Eagles game. At that point right there the relationship will never be the same. She gets to see the way you treat millionaire players younger than you and harass geriatric referees who could be her grandpa. She starts to wonder why you hate guys named Joe Davis and Greg Olsen and overhears you mumbling things that would get you on a list about Tom Brady and Tony Romo. And who the hell is Dean Blandino and why doesn’t he blink? God forbid there’s a loss. Would you want to be with someone who reacts to losing by quietly sulking in their room? That’s why we all need a Gigi Hadid. She’s not invested in this game. She could probably care less as Coop’s heart is doing somersaults in his chest. But you know what? A little rub on the back just to let you know she’s there goes a long way. She doesn’t care you just threatened Jake Elliott’s life for missing another extra point. Go Sports!

Maybe one day we’ll release the entire interview with Seamus. It was really interesting stuff, how it started with future Mayor Kenney, and him going down to talk to Jeffrey Lurie and Joe Banner about adding a jail and courtroom, to the national spotlight he received. He said grown men would start to weep as they found out they were losing their season tickets and that former prisoners would stop him in Wildwood for his autograph. He even told me he sold the movie rights to his life to Hollywood and how they wanted him to do a spinoff of Night Court, called Sport Court. How this guy hasn’t written a book yet is beyond me. If the Vet jail was around 20 years later it’d be a gigantic hit on Netflix! He even said it wasn’t Philadelphians who caused much of the problems. It was those mongrels from South Jersey coming over the bridge and wreaking havoc!

If you have a pair of tix and bought them at face value, what’s the play here? Do you go to the game or sell them and hope you can parlay the profit into paying for some of the flight and hotel room down to New Orleans if the Birds win? Obviously plenty of season ticket holders are already well-off, so an extra $2,500+ of scratch isn’t exactly life changing. It’s also gonna be a nice 42° and partly cloudy by kickoff before it dives down to the high-20s by the time the game is over. Not much more you can ask for this deep into January. Once the Birds win I recommend walking to Broad Street to celebrate. Don’t rely on SEPTA leaving you out in the cold.

For being the most expensive ticket in NFC title history, the average price isn’t much different than what it was in 2018, via Enrico Campitelli at NBCSports Philly:

Just how expensive? Try the most expensive resale price ever on the secondary market for a conference championship game, according to TicketIQ.

Some of their stats around the tickets for this game, from TicketIQ’s Ralph Garcia:

“The NFC the Eagles vs Vikings Conference Championship at Lincoln Financial Field features an average asking price of $1,280 with cheapest available ticket $763. This average is up 62% since Philly’s victory over the Falcons and is the most expensive Conference Championship game we’ve ever tracked.”

Anyway it’s time to get creative, Eagles fans. Fire back up that OnlyFans, cash in your $TRUMP coins, call a Hail Mary and fire up a 10-leg parlay on college basketball tonight, or hope you find one of those Grover Cleveland $1,000 bills laying around on Broad Street…

I do my best to stay in my lane and that’s 4 for 4 Philly sports, the Phillies’ war on cheap meat, and occasionally college football when James Franklin has another big game he’s ready to lose. But besides that I don’t like to get into the mud with other corners of cyberspace cause it invites the most insane people to argue under your initial tweet for the next week and shout about god knows what. Like when I took this beautiful picture of thousands of Eagles fans waiting 45 minutes to get on the subway after the game last night:

Is that a Norman Rockwell? No it’s an iPhone 13 Pro with terrible battery life.

That picture and caption are harmless right? Don’t tell that to urbanist Twitter. I’ve never been caught in the crosshairs of urbanist Twitter before and after this I don’t wish it on my worst enemy. You complain about SEPTA’s safety issues or inefficiency and someone will tell you you’re racist and you should just deal with it.  You think an argument over whether Jalen Hurts is good enough to win a Super Bowl gets toxic? I’ve got a fucking state reps jumping in my mentions chirping me:

How about this guy trying to big dog me AND ask for a solution in the same tweet. Isn’t that why people elected you? Like uhhhhhhh yea dude. I’d love for thousands of people to not have to stand out in the cold. I guess I’m some sort of barbarian for having that opinion. I’m probably just the only one though:

Now the thing about Benny boy here is yes I might’ve drifted into his area, but he also swam into mine and I don’t think he wants to get into the deep end with me. Benny boy is a big proponent of funding SEPTA. Great. Need a historically-mismanaged government organization to someday not be as historically mismanaged. It’s good to see people who care about SEPTA having the Gov’s ear who can help change that. But the thing about Benny boy is he’s way above his sails on this one.

He told on himself in a reply:

Yes the photo is outside the station because we’re stuck waiting to get in dummy! Are these the bird brains we’re electing in PA? Has this guy ever taken SEPTA to a Birds game? Has he ever taken SEPTA in his life?! Or was this just a planned photo op cause he’s on their payroll or something:

Probably got on at City Hall and jumped off at Walnut-Locust before going home and showering. Surprised his hand didn’t disintegrate when he touched that pole.

So here you go, Benny boy. Since you obviously don’t have any idea about what happens after an Eagles game I’ll break it down for you. SEPTA is now having people create a giant logjam that forces them to plow through these gates that may be five feet wide. Once you get there they corral you like sheep into a line using barricades and make you walk all the way around the entire station. You start on the other corner from this one in the pic:

Nothing terrible. The problem with Benny boy’s logic and the reason I know he has no idea what he’s talking about is because he mentions that inside the station has plenty of room where people wait for trains. Yea it does. The only problem is SEPTA workers are instructed by someone to stop the line every couple of people because I guess they don’t want over-crowding? For those that don’t know, looking at you Benny boy, this subway stop is gigantic and they put the train cars at the other end of the tracks. They could get all of these people waiting in line out of the snow and warm. You know why? Because this is exactly what they used to do. Typically a brand like Miller Lite or UniBet recently would sponsor a full season and postseason of free subway rides for Eagles fans. This year there isn’t one. Why? If you ask Benny boy it’s probably the citizen’s fault I’d guess. Not the fact that SEPTA’s incompetence probably fucked that one up too.

Now they have these “controlled” stops, which would range about five minutes. Five minutes is nothing. But when the snow is dumping on you and you’re mom, wife, or kid are being pushed by drunk Eagles fans trying to get home you can hear some people getting a little testy – and this was after a win. When you finally get to the terminals to pay (which there aren’t enough of) half the people don’t know that it’s “tap to pay” now because SEPTA’s tech has always been behind the 8 ball of other major cities. While we were using tokens and swiping cards less than a decade ago places like NY and Chicago already had tap to pay running with zero problems.  So now lines are long, fans and workers are equally pissed off, everyone is shouting at each other, and it’s chaos after games. It almost makes driving to games worth it and everyone knows that is the 8th Level of Hell:

I’m still trying to process how I feel about a Knick wearing an Eagles sweater on the bench. There’s no doubt KAT is a legit Eagles fan. He trolled one of Rich Eisen’s Dallas Cowboys coworkers with an entire mariachi band a week ago. I welcome every Eagles fan with open arms. But it kind of feels like your mom’s boyfriend telling you that you can call him dad. Sure, you like the boyfriend. He’s been around for some years. He treats your mom right. Takes you to basketball practice and lets you drink in the basement with your buddies. He also didn’t rat on you that one time you broke the window playing ball in the house. You’re cool with each other but you’re not “You can call me dad” cool. That’s how I feel about a rival rocking my favorite team.

You’d think he’d proudly rock it the entire time especially when it’s Rams week with a spot in the NFC Championship on the line. But in the second half, out of nowhere, KAT took it off:

A real Eagles fan would never succumb to public pressure! Take Grant Williams doing it in the heart of Dallas last year. This pissed a TON of people off:

Williams didn’t even make it the entire year on the Mavs and the stories that followed after he was released tried to defame his character. That’s a true Eagles fan right there. Stare in the face of your adversaries during the first year of your four-year deal and give them a big ol’ middle finger. Who cares if they shipped you off to the land of misfit basketball? Stand for something, or die for nothing.

]]> Listen there’s been a lot of talk about asshole Eagles fans, GoFundMe’s, content creators, and all that shit on this site and the Internet. We’re gonna let it die. Instead lets promote this awesome gesture from an Eagles fan on Reddit who was tired of getting a bad rap because of one Eagles fan so they decided to set up a GoFundMe through the California Community Foundation’s wildfire recovery fund to help Rams fans (and more) who were impacted by the fires this week. The fund goes to first responders and organizations that help impacted businesses and families. Hell yea! Here’s the post on Reddit from r/pan_de_monium:

Now that we know the Rams are our opponent and obviously LA is dealing with some seriously crazy shit right now, I thought it might be nice ahead of the game to offer some help and support LA’s way from birds fans (and especially after that shithead made life miserable for an opposing Packers fan and went viral for it). I did some research to make sure there’s a legit, direct aid charity out there and the California Community Foundation’s wildfire recovery fund goes to first responders and organizations that help impacted businesses and families.

We’re still gonna kick the Rams’ asses, but there’s plenty of people in and around LA (Rams and birds’ fans alike) that could use some help right now. I know a lot of the attention is going towards celebrities but there are plenty of everyday people who have lost a lot during this and are risking life and limb to help others.

This rules! Shout out to Eagles fans. 99.9% aren’t jackasses yelling at women in the stands. These are the Eagles fans I’ve come to love meeting every time I’m down at the tailgates! This is now his fifth TikTok in as many days. He’s showing off the products he uses to make his lattes, doing a bag haul, and giving away his banana bread recipe. He’s a natural. Basically a tradwife except he can hit a baseball really really fucking far. This guy’s either posting a bunch of drafts he’s had tucked away before the app goes away or needs the offseason to end because he’s so bored.

But you can’t deny one thing and that is this guy gets views:

Time for brands to do the Phillies a solid and back up the BRINKS truck. Under Armour and  Gatorade are cute. Bryce is hankering for a raw milk and Bottega bag partnership. I mean look at that guy’s banana bread recipe and try to tell me Chiquita Bananas shouldn’t be knocking down his door with all of that CIA Guatemalan coup money! When he split the banana and put it on top of the bread I audibly gasped. What an advancement! I hope my mom was kicking herself when she saw this. All those years she made us banana bread she was cutting corners. The greats are great for a reason.

So now that Bryce is in his influencer era does that mean he still needs an extension? Last we heard, Scott Boras said he was still open to adding to his deal. Oh you don’t say? The rich want to get richer? Well, with a couple shekels here and a couple shekels there and his newfound TikTok fame, maybe the US extends the TikTok ban, Bryce joins the Creator Fund, Phillies fans keep watching his content and blow it up, and he gets paid. It’s a win-win. It’s how we don’t get strapped into paying a guy when he’s 45 years old $40+ million.

…this plan would’ve made a lot more sense if Dave Dombrowski decided to spend this offseason. Instead we’re walking it back with the same team and our best player looks like he hasn’t slept in weeks while making banana bread and vanilla lattes in his kitchen. This might be a cry for help.

Unfortunately this new development must be blogged. Someone on Twitter discovered the Go Fund Me of the guy Packers fan in the video. He set one up so his viewers (he is a Packers content creator) could pay for his tickets to the Linc… which he lives an hour away from apparently:

The Packers are heading to the playoffs, and are going into Philly this next Sunday to take on the #2 Seed Eagles. Things are gloomy right now in Packers fandom, but one this is for certain. I’m still confident and believe in this team.

If you didn’t know, I’m born and raised in PA, and actually 1 hour from the Eagles stadium. So I ask of you, the fans… send me to Philly. Send me into the belly of the beast. I’ve done it multiple times repping the Packers proud, and I am fully ready to do it again.

I’ve been cursed at, stuff thrown at me, and even my first ever cheesehead ripped off my head and thrown into a fire bin while supporting my team in Philly. But I’m sure as hell not scared to do it again.

Does that not feel like a guy who’s  fishing for content a little bit and got one dumb Eagles fan to eat the trash? He grew up in Pennsylvania. He knows how Eagles fans are. He asked his viewers to send him there so he could go inside the belly of the beast and he went inside it. It just so happens the belly contains an old guy yelling “cunt” at his lady the entire game. Now, to me, this is clear as day the reason why security was never notified what was happening. You do content for a couple years and you know what sells. He knew what he was getting on camera was gold. He’s done vlogs for his channel before. I wouldn’t be shocked if he was planning on doing one from this game. Again the Eagles fan – still a piece of shit. There’s no denying that. But letting your girl take that much abuse and not doing anything about it? All for views. That doesn’t sit right with me either.

Someone on Twitter made a good point that this situation is kind of similar to the Giants fan who only wore Nebraska gear to the Linc a couple weeks ago and claimed he was still harassed:

A classic case of Kevin Kinkead’s two things can be true™ theory.  The Eagles fan sucks and Packers content creator is a whore for views. Now let’s get it back to the Eagles.

P.S. That line about having his cheesehead thrown into a fire bin? Give me a break. Do people really think Eagles fans tailgate like a bunch of hobos during the Great Depression?

Hands on the hips like he’s the mike linebacker ready for the next play tells me this isn’t Uncle Ron’s first time in the mud with another fan. His family probably has a group chat full of videos from his latest run ins in the nosebleeds. What is a Packer anyway?

I love that the meter is fully on cocky right now. This fanbase is finally showing its true colors. Sometimes Eagles fans can be an annoying bunch because they’re always waiting for the other shoe to drop. But the pulse of the fanbase down there last night felt like fans know this team is for real. It was an ugly game but this defense is the truth. The offense was a Saquon slide away from scoring 29 points and making it look even more lopsided than it was. The Packers lost that game from the very first play. Imagine what it’s going to be like once Kellen Moore gets his head out of his ass with the play calling and they’re firing on all cylinders.

Ngl one of my favorite things is when opposing fans find these videos. Try to describe the average Eagles fan to someone. It’s impossible:

]]> How bout that game? What a classic! Back and forth! Coming down to the wire! It was everything you could ask for when you’re trying to squeeze out as much football as you can before it’s taken away from you in February. And the fact that my Irish came out victorious? I couldn’t ask for a better ending.

There was never a doubt. I knew Penn State were frauds and that their flaws would show as soon as they couldn’t beat up on the Mountain West and ACC. I’m so happy they made it to the Final Four because we got to watch Penn State fans talk themselves back into this team and James Franklin – just to have their hearts ripped out AGAIN. It’s like everyone knew how this story was going to end except the folks in Happy Valley. I just couldn’t decide if I wanted it in the semi-finals or against Ohio State so the kill shot did maximum damage.

Luckily for me I got my pound of flesh. You couldn’t write a better script than how that played out. Let the Nits get up 10-zip, have Notre Dame make it a game, watch PSU fans start to convince themselves they’re going to get the monkey off their back just for Drew Allar to complete his first pass to someone other than a tight end… except that guy had a golden dome on. CINEMA! Your tears of unfathomable sadness. They are delicious! Luckily for me, when Al Gore’s Internet was created, so was the message board for every middle-aged man to release gigabytes of pent up frustration a therapist just isn’t qualified enough to handle. Like this guy who is questioning his entire existence:

I am imagining this guy sitting in some dark room with a bottle of whiskey and Allar’s interception on the TV playing on repeat. ]]> Nothing like the straightest dudes in Philadelphia dressing in drag to welcome in the New Year. Hell yea! What a tradition. Their founding fathers wore silk stockings, makeup, and frilly cotton white shirts so they’re going to wear silk, makeup, and frilly cotton white shirts. Not much has changed and the tea still isn’t safe, if you know what I mean. This was a lot of fun to put together! A good dive into 2 Street if you’ve never been and wondered what it’s like. Also 2 Street? 2nd Street? Who cares what you call it as long as you promise to have a good time at the craziest party in Philadelphia to kick off the New Year:

I can’t get enough of 2 Street, even before I started making these videos. It’s just an awesome time. Parishes mixing with other parishes. Neighborhoods hanging out with other neighborhoods. The partying, the jubilation from the bands learning they won something they’ve been working for all year in the middle of it, open container central, people in their houses offering you beers and food as you walk by. All of it. I know some people hate the “backpackers” who invade the city from the suburbs, but as long as people are having a good time I don’t see why that’s a problem. All the bands have their private clubs they get to hang in anyway. Shout out to the Avalon String Band for the hospitality you show this backpacker every year! Having people experience it from all parts of the Delaware Valley is what helps continue the legacy of 2 Street. And the cops down there do a great job policing it. There are rarely any issues since I’ve been going. It’s just a fun gathering spot with friends after the Mummers parade to go drink some beers and walk up and down the street. Good luck getting into one of the bars. I recommend grabbing a 12 -pack, walking up and down the street, participating in some Eagles chants, and enjoying the festivities.

It was good to be back for the first time in two years. Didn’t get to see Aunt Ang during this one, but there’s always next year to get the roast pork and all that other shit:

Cause this seems like a DM the big man would get after he didn’t hit his three point over and not a tweet from a former NBA player. Ngl, first team brown bag is very funny, and I completely believe Kobe Bryant once said that to Young’s face in practice one time. But did this guy not watch the Olympics? Yabu BALLED! This is a guy who got banished from the league after two seasons and worked hard on his game (something Young had no interest ever doing) and returned to the NBA five years later.

]]> Believe it or not, it’s important when your best players play together:

The Sixers’ Big 3 have played 4.5 games together. Three of them were full games beating the Bulls, Hornets, and the Celtics on Christmas night. The other 1.5 Paul George was injured early in the third quarter against the Grizzlies, Joel Embiid got smoked in the face against the Pacers in the second quarter, and then Embiid was ejected in the second quarter the other day. This team is starting to look like what we were promised when the Sixers made a big splash in free agency this summer. The team is starting to come together after a brutal start to the season. Good thing the NBA season doesn’t start until Christmas. Everyone knows that.

The Sixers might never lose again if they finish every game together and I can’t lie after Christmas night I’m ready to buy all the way back in. If you would’ve told me I’d have this feeling of delusion after Embiid tweaked his ankle in warm ups I’d think you were insane. Instead Maxey and the Boston Killer played their asses off:

And Embiid told all of Boston, the NBA, and probably even some Sixers fans to stick it up their asses:

They’re going to be the most dangerous 7th seed of all-time.

]]> Nick Sirianni had to be separated from Zach Ertz by Big Dom after the Washington game on Sunday because Sirianni didn’t like the force of Ertz’s high five. That last sentence was NFL Mad Libs. Jeff McLane told the story:

Sirianni is such an asshole and I love it. At least he’s authentic. He’s an asshole 100% of the time. If you’re going to be an asshole on the field you gotta be one 24/7, 365 or it’ll just become a tough guy act. He’s a little brother. Chirping Ertz for having one catch is classic little brother sore loser behavior. Probably went and cried to Lurie and Howie that Ertz was being a meanie too.

How about the rivalry with the Commies heating up for the first time in decades? These teams absolutely hate each other. There were unsportsmanlike penalties. Guys getting their helmets punched off. Ejections. Dirty hits. Shit talking. We had it all!

I can’t find video of this altercation anywhere, but here are a couple pics attached to this tweet of Ertz looking animated and Big Dom holding him back:

The part I would’ve been most mad about is having to get on a Zoom call with Nick so he could apologize. You don’t think someone in the Eagles front office has Ertz’s number? Couldn’t have just called or FaceTime’d the guy? He played for you. Having to download the Zoom app, log in, put all my information in just for a likely five minute conversation would piss me the fuck off. That’s the only thing I hate Sirianni for in this situation.

Imagine if this escalated. I would’ve killed to see Bob Lange, the Eagles now VP of Comms guy, get in another postgame handshake scrum like this one. Guy knows how to throw his weight around:

No “ums” and “uhs.” No stammering while making obvious observations about the game. Angry, levelheaded, and straight to the point. That’s a sports radio call right there. If we had more like those, WIP would be bearable. Capping it off with the sound of induced vomit was a beautiful touch. Absolutely shredding Joe Davis and Greg Olsen (who I thought wasn’t nearly as bad as his partner) for that debacle on Sunday.

Btw Olsen isn’t triggered. Please don’t put it in the newspaper that he’s triggered:

Yea we’re mad because we gave up 36 points to Washington, but Joe Davis absolutely sucked. Sucked so much that that it has completely ruined his call of Bryce Harper’s home run from a couple years ago. There is a strong chance he never realized Jalen Hurts wasn’t playing the last three quarters.

If it was one quip, it’s whatever, but he kept leaning on this narrative about the Commanders battling the entire game. What’s the point of a producer if they can’t get in this guy’s ear to relax a little on the shock value? Olsen even sounded confused every time he threw it over to him after saying something like, “This has to feel like a win for the Commanders only being down 10.” Which was actually said unironically at one point.

And it wasn’t just Eagles fans who took notice:

Joe Davis treated the 10-win Commies bound for the playoffs like they were the New York Giants. He couldn’t believe they were in the game vs. Kenny Pickett. The only thing worse might’ve been this “Defying the Odds” tweet from the NFL account:

I know I’m a sore fucking loser and the NFL loves a good narrative, but can we show some dignity? The little upstart Commies with a Heisman winner under center, one of the best receivers in the league, and a Super Bowl runner-up coach. Weren’t they the same Commies everyone was sucking off before the Eagles exposed them a month ago?

Imagine losing a nuke. A fucking nuke. Rule #1 for nukes is don’t lose the fucking nuke. The good news is that report turned out to be fake so I can go back to not caring about the drones.

Instead I can focus on a drone conspiracy that actually matters like this asshole who was hooking up tie dye pods to his and dropping them in pools:

I know it’s the holidays so I’m not trying to end up on Santa’s naughty list, but FUCK THIS GUY. Ruining the neighborhood pool should be a crime punishable by death. I won’t take anything less than a tar and feather in the town square. All I can imagine is some parents who want a break from their kids to read a steamy romance novel or listen to a podcast not being able to take them to a pool because some 31 year old dork was bombing pools with dye via Hayden Mitman at NBC10:

An Atlantic City man turned a drone into a makeshift vandalism bomber, police claim as he is alleged to have repeatedly used a flying device to drop dye packs into pools throughout the region from June through September of last year.

Last week, on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024, Anthony Spina, 31, of Atlantic City, New Jersey, was indicted by a grand jury on criminal mischief and conspiracy offenses after he, allegedly, flew drones in order to drop dye packs into commercial and residential pools to turn the water in them to a greenish/yellow color.

In instances between Aug. 2 and 15 of 2023, Spina is alleged to have caused more than $2,000 in damages after using a drone to trop dye packs in a pool at a condominium complex in Atlantic City, as well.

If a condo in Atlantic City isn’t already bad enough.
