The best story of the week comes to us from Pittsburgh, where the Steelers have zero playoff wins since the Eagles won the Super Bowl. But anyway, at Sunday night’s Penguins game, there was a big Yinzer dispute stemming from a puck that got caught in the netting. Dan Kingerski at PGHHockeyNow takes it from there<\/a>:<\/p>\n

..a young teenage boy was attempting to free it for a spiffy souvenir. Hey, who doesn\u2019t want a game puck?<\/em><\/p>\n

The young fan was able to free the puck, but an older fan quickly took it. Multiple witnesses, which Pittsburgh Hockey Now can verify as present, said the older fan took the puck from the boy and gave it to his adult granddaughter.<\/em><\/p>\n

PHN got the full story from witnesses and involved arena employees, who asked not to be named but referred to as Usher No. 1 and Usher No. 2.<\/em><\/p>\n

After the elder fan swiped the puck, the situation escalated for the better half of the second period. Hundreds and then thousands of fans chanted, \u201cGive him the puck.\u201d However, the older fan with an ill-fitting baseball cap, like a Grinch\u2019s heart that was three sizes too small, was unphased (sic) and refused to cough up his ill-gotten gain.<\/em><\/p>\n

Fans booed the man. Fans jeered the man. And fans chanted again, to no avail.<\/em><\/p>\n

A couple of sections over, the Penguins\u2019 families watched with disappointment and decided to act. One player\u2019s wife, whom we\u2019ll not name because we haven\u2019t received her permission, told Usher 2 that she had a game puck in a locker in the family room downstairs, and she wished to give it to the boy.<\/em><\/p>\n

Usher 2 directed Usher 1 to escort the player\u2019s wife downstairs for the puck, and she returned with Usher 1 to present the gift, which was met with loud, approving cheers.\u00a0<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It goes on to say that there’s actually more to the story, which was caught on video.<\/p>\n

After the wife gives over the puck and they all hug it out, the alleged puck stealer comes into the picture, starts arguing with some random guy, then confronts the boy’s mother. The mother restrains herself from clobbering him before an usher steps in to separate them. Grandpa walks up the stairs, grabs another usher’s arm, and flips some kid the bird:<\/p>\n
